L&T Named India’s Most
Sustainable Infrastructure Company

  • 11 June 2026

Prestigious financial publication Business Today has named L&T India’s Most Sustainable Company in Infrastructure. The coveted honour was conferred on L&T at BT’s ‘India’s Most Sustainable Companies Summit & Awards 2026’ ceremony hosted in New Delhi on 6 June. Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav handed over the award to Santosh Kumar Singh, Head – Sustainability, L&T.

In all, BT had evaluated 21 companies in the infrastructure category, before selecting L&T for the prestigious honour. The CareEdge-ESG scoring process was used to determine the winners. This apart, L&T Finance was recognised as a champion in Financial Sector Sustainability in the NBFC category and was also conferred a special recognition award for being the Best ESG Performer.

The Summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders and sustainability experts to examine some of the most pressing challenges shaping India's sustainability journey. Discussions ranged from bridging the climate finance gap and mobilising capital to support India's multi-trillion-dollar growth ambitions.
