Programmes

Effective training is a valuable skill. For, trainees can be only as good as their trainers. In order to increase the effectiveness of skill-training programmes, it is essential that those entrusted with imparting these skills be trained to do it in a way that is easily grasped by the trainees. This is what we do at the L&T Skill Trainers Academy.

Curriculum

The curriculum is curated with technical expertise from Singapore Polytechnic International, under the MOU signed between National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Singapore Polytechnic  International to develop a top-class, pedagogy-based training programme, for trainers and assessors in the skilling ecosystem. The basic training programme is spread over 10-day classroom sessions including brief orientation on domain skills. On successful completion of this program, Trainers  Assessors can proceed for "'On the Job Training' (OJT), covering six assignments on planning, delivery and assessment, for a maximum 15-week duration.

 

Certification

On successful completion of the 10-day training, participants are awarded a Certificate by the respective Sector Skill Councils. This Certificate is valid for two years. The participants who successfully complete the OJT, are awarded an Advanced Certificate, with lifelong validity.

Programme Highlights

  • All programmes are conducted by Sector Skill Council certified Master Trainers with rich industry experience.
  •  The curriculum focuses on the best practices in 'How to teach', with emphasis on Lesson Planning and Adult Learning. Adequate practice is given through teach-back sessions.
  • The training is conducted in well-equipped classrooms which are designed for interactive and experiential learning. Hands-on practice is given in state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops with equipment for domain testing and training.
  •  Value add by subject matter experts from L&T and other reputed organisations.
  •  The 15-week OJT helps participants to practice and improve on what they have learnt from the programme.
  •  Certificates are issued to successful candidates by respective SSCs of NSDC.
  • All the programmes are residential and offer opportunities for learning life skills and soft skills for the holistic development of trainers.
  •  Activities like yoga, team-building and sports make the training holistic, inspiring and impactful.

The Trainer Certification programmes cover the following sectors:
Capital Goods | Construction | Electronics | BFSI | IT/ITeS
Programmes for other sectors, Domain Training and Assessor Training (ToA) are under development. 
Customised training programmes can also be designed as per the requirements.
