In 2021, L&T collaborated with the Chennai-based M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) to implement the ‘Every Child A Scientist’ (ECAS) programme. L&T provided digital infrastructure with smart classrooms to MSSRF, to enhance learning outcomes, especially in STEM subjects - From Chalk & Talk to Digital Touch & Feel.
Today ECAS is a well-established 15-day Training Programme for students from Corporation Schools across Chennai. Organised 7-8 times a year, ECAS provides the opportunity for students to access modern learning tools, well-equipped laboratories, nutrition gardens and field visits. At the end of each session students prepare science models and explain their understanding of concepts. Recognition for every student comes in the form of a Certificate, building their confidence and a love of STEM subjects that helps them in their journey.

Over the years, through the MSSRF-ECAS programme L&T has reached out to 11 Corporation Schools, impacting 1613 students and 25 teachers.
